shot? Obviously everyone has that “ALIVE” badge. Seeing there’s a badge to denote whether a member is alive within the mafia game or not, it seems members who get eliminated will likely still be able to participate, presumably with a ghost mechanic or something like that. Nien, who we see most clearly, also has another badge shaped like an upside down Y, coloured blue with what seems to be a red tower drawn on it. Presumably some game includes a tower? Maybe climbing a tower, or something similar to the zipline in S1, or drop ride in S2? Sohyun and Jiyeon behind her (Jiyeon pops out a few seconds later, blocking Sohyun) also have this badge, so it’s not too rare. & Judging by the few present badges, this is from early in the game. Probably welcome game/game 1. With the past trend of welcome game being a big physical competition & game 1 being a split up in small groups puzzle/mental game, this is the welcome game badge. Nien also has a “VOTE” badge. This confirms that getting badges is related to voting. Perhaps you have to earn “VOTE” badges to be able to vote, or it gives you extra votes? Jiyeon and Sohyun don’t have this badge. Yeonji, also clearly visible in frame, seems to have no Badges beyond the “ALIVE” badge, which I’m presuming is that default starter/example badge for this season. Based on the last trailer, it’s pretty easy to deduce they’re filming in Busan (Commodore Hotel, ending shot with the raft has the Gwangalli Bridge). Doing a bit of research on a red tower in Busan, I suspect the red tower badge is related to the Cheongsapo lighthouse. Conveniently, that looks to match the place they were all running back from in a shot from the last trailer. You can see the railings & Y-shaped stone foundation bits, it seems they’re all racing back from the lighthouse on the path back to land. So actually, the welcome game is most likely racing back to land from the lighthouse. Makes perfect sense for something Nien, Jiyeon, and Sohyun would get badges in- they’re good runners. Yeonji’s also a pretty good runner, but who knows, any number of things could’ve happened to her, or she could’ve missed the last badge by a second like Sohyun in the S2 welcome game.

Nien has 3 badges 😮
